9 - Dinosaur Jr. - Beyond (90)

This album's a grower. Give it more of a chance and you will more back.

Man, I'm glad they got back together. - Darkhorse (7)

Loved it from the first minute. Almost as good as Bug without seeking to be like it. Like they’ve never really been away and it rocks hard.

While this album wasn't "You're Living All Over Me Part II", who really wants that? The sound of a band getting back together and sounding more energized than ever is far more exciting to me than repeating past successes. J, Lou and Murph still don't like each other and maybe that's why some twenty odd years later, they're still able to melt faces with their primordial riffs and irresistible melodies.

Kinda like the last Lemonheads. This new batch from Dinosaur didn't quite match the early days. It's still a solid offering of mid-period sounding J Mascis tunes. 'Crumble' rocks in a heavy Cure way and 'We're Not Alone' is one of the sweetest J ballads ever. 'We're Almost Ready' and 'This Is All I Came To Do' rock, Lou's new tunes 'Back To Your Heart' and 'Lightening Bulb' are also great like lost Sebadoh tracks good things! These guys rock loving the grey headed J rocker the man still creates one wall of sound! Ear bleeding country at its finest! - Sandusky (4)

Sounds just like late 80's, early 90's. - Tracer (2)
