The best album they've put out since well, maybe ever. It atleast gives their first 3 albums a run for their money. Henneman hasn't sounded this inspiring in years. - Mookie - (10)

They keep on keeping on. - Murmur - (7)

Zoysia could have easily being Pronounced Bot-tull RAWK-ettes. Happy Anniversary has some killer guitar licks (Brian Henneman and John Horton) just like Lynyrd Skynyrd's (Gary Rossington and Allen Collins) Simple Man. Let's just say that Southern Rock rawks even if you are from the Midwest. There's everything on this album, Skynyrd influence, Neil Young influence, Pete Droge influence, Chuck Prophet influence; everything but poison whiskey.          - Gas OJ - (5)

This CD plays in my CD player and makes music that I can hear with my ears. The groove then shuffles to my groin so I can rock back and forth in a manner deemed unappropriate by the church. - Max Power - (4)

Solid effort by Henneman and crew, especially the title track. Evidence suggests the boys are back, after this release and Blue Sky. - Ranchhand - (2)

Solid, solid debut. Give us more! - Murmur - (8)

It was tough to choose between this, Ben Kweller, Tom Petty and Richard Buckner, but this album basically made my summer. A collaboration of two of my favorite artists at their best, with a great rhythm section. I sincerely hope this isn't a one-off deal for these guys. - Beldo - (1)

Even Jack White's side projects make the top 10 list. - Tracer - (1)

My first foray into the storytelling music of Guy Clark. Certainly not the last. - Nortwoods - (7)

The mostly consisting of co-written songs, and lower key than his previous work, Clark still crafts some great songs. "Funny Bone" is the epitimony of the simple musical motif with dead-on lyrics. - PeterD - (5.5)

This young scamp probably has a sunlight browned copy of 'In The Aeroplane Over The Sea' under his arm for reference and you could argue its cultural tourism at its worst but to dismiss this record for those reasons would be very foolish. Its a virtuoso ensemble piece played mainly by one person and like the aforementioned Neutral Milk Hotel album mixes anachrous melancholy amidst odd lyrical images and life-affirming brass flourishes into as singular an album as you'll hear. - Bird Brain - (8)
