Buckner's latest album is a full on audio assault....yet it manages to hold on to the beauty and simplicity displayed in his previous work. "Meadow" has a sense of destination that Buckner seems to create quite often. General logic would dictate that you would see more landscape detail on a Sunday drive than on a high-speed chase. Buckner proves that this is not always the case with music. The album flies by like a rocket...yet that may be what is so interesting about it. Wonderfully done.

| “Man, I was high, stepping out on goodbyes unspoken” sings Richard Buckner on “Before”, the fifth track from his latest release, Meadow. As much as bluegrass remains much the same in popularity as it was when first introduced to North Americans by early Europeans, it was the new Buckner-Meadow grass that had me on a thirty-two minute high every time it was played. “Town” is one of the best album opening tracks I’ve heard all year. Will does it again. All hail to the almighty. - Travel By Sea - (10) The natural successors to Led Zeppelin ? It might sound far fetched but theyre equally adept at hard rocking and the more pastoral roots stuff . A fine album that harnessed their rocking side with Will Johnsons natural propensity for melody. - Boxcar Trev - (9) Patience for the Ride blows me away. - Milesfrom - (9) Another great album by the most underrated musician in the Western World.
